Was cycling home and approaching Bedok Reservoir yesterday, when it struck me that Sunday is the finals of the Wakeboarding Worldcup to be held at Bedok Reservoir.
So popped by to take a look-see. Gosh, so many spectators! And I now agree when they say Bedok Reservoir is an ideal place for a wakeboard competition, cos the water is calm, place is accessible, and spectators could sit on the grass that lines the water-edge.
Of course, the local guys and gals there were decked out in their wakeboarding best. The babes there were trying their darn best to look like potential models for Ripcurl, Roxy, etc, while the guys there were trying their darn best to look like surfer dudes.
Ran into Huiting and Charmaine Lim there! Of course, was not really surprised cos these two are into wakeboarding. Gosh, it has been ages since I've seen Charmaine. She's still as dark (if not darker) as before, and now speaks with a slight trendy Aussie accent and has an Angmoh bf who was there too. Also found out that Huiting knows Alexis as well. Won a portable radio in the free lucky dip, not bad at all.
