Next (or rather, this) morning is the cycling trip to Desaru, so I couldn't sleep early, which is usually the case whenever I know I'll be going overseas the following day. That's why I usually sleep in planes. But I can't fall asleep on my bike, so I hope I'll get some proper shut-eye.

But in the meanwhile, might as well blog...

Returned home from the special preview and reception of Jaeger LeCoultre's 'The Manufacture Comes To You', apparently the largest ever exhibition organized in $ingapore by a single watch-brand.
Entire exhibition is housed in this gigantic white tent on the square outside Ngee Ann City. Didn't really mull over the exhibits and booths in detail; rather, more time was spent chatting with fellow-PuristS (the community of watch-lovers) AND April, marketing-coordinator for The HourGlass.

Wine and martinis were served. As usual, I had white wine. Reception food consisted of bread, turkey, ham, baked mini-potato, sushi (untouched by me), and an assortment of interesting desserts. The exhibition area:

On stage was a harpist who provided background music. Classy! :

The Sincere Ltd Edition of F.P. Journe tourbillon with dead seconds in black mother-of-pearl dial; what an outstanding watch. Shot was shaky, cos I had to shoot with one hand (wine-glass in the other):

The dishy JLC watchmaker who appeared on Channel Newsasia earlier this morn. When I quizzed him about it, he told me he was rather nervous during the interview, and the hosts asked their own questions instead of sticking to the scripted questions which he rehearsed for, tsk tsk.

A snapshot with Sharon Mei, marketing manager for JLC! For this event, she had watches on both wrists - the new 'Ideale' with diamonds and a Reverso with diamonds (forgot which model):
